It looks like we’ve seen the end of Hiddleswift. According to reports that Taylor Swift and her boyfriend of three months, actor Tom Hiddleston, have split. The 26-year-old Swift and the 35-year-old Hiddleston — whose roles include portraying Hank Williams in I Saw the Light — went public with their relationship in June. No source for the info is given, or a reason behind the reported split.
Miranda Lambert‘s inaugural Women Creators scholarship has been awarded to a very promising student at Belmont University in Nashville. Anna Vaus is a junior at Belmont’s Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business, majoring in songwriting with a minor in music business. She has been chosen as the first-ever recipient of the scholarship, which will provide her with more than $40,000 in funds beginning in the 2016-2017 academic year. Lambert established the Women Creators Fund in July of 2015, with an eye toward helping women who are pursuing music business and entertainment studies
Sam Hunt revealed that he’s been getting his best songwriting done … in his bathroom. While writing for his second album, he has found his bathroom to be a cozy place to help work out his writer’s block. Hunt has yet to reveal a release date for his highly anticipated sophomore album.
Loretta Lynn did not appear at her annual Labor Day concert due to a fall she suffered earlier in the week. The 84-year-old singer had fallen and injured herself earlier that week and was unable to perform during her annual concert at her Lynn’s Hurricane Mills ranch. She injured her chest and couldn’t get a deep enough breathe to sing. Her sister Crystal Gayle and her twin daughters Peggy and Patsy performed.
