Miranda Lambert has revealed the title and release date for her upcoming sixth studio album. The singer is set to release The Weight of These Wings on Nov. 18. Lambert revealed the album’s first single, “Vice,” slowly through a series of online videos, and she took that route for her album, too.
In addition to changing networks, the television drama Nashville is seeing a cast shakeup before it returns for Season 5. Jen Richards will join the show, 2017. The transgender actress will portray Allyson Del Lago a tough but understanding physical therapist who helps a ‘series regular’ through one of their most difficult challenges. Jen Richards is an Emmy-nominated writer, actress and producer. Her casting marks CMT’s first transgender character. CMT will debut Nashville in January 2017.
LeAnn Rimes is bringing the spirit of Christmas to venues throughout the U.S. this winter with her 2016 Today Is Christmas Tour. The tour bears its name from her 2015 album, Today Is Christmas. Tickets go on sale to the public on Sept. 16. Not coming to Maine.
Kelsea Ballerini has reached a historic milestone with her third single, “Peter Pan.” The song hit No. 1 this week, making Ballerini the first female country artist to hit the top of the charts with her first three consecutive singles from a debut album.
