Newly released autopsy results have confirmed that Craig Morgan‘s son Jerry Greer drowned following a water tubing accident in early July. Greer’s autopsy, conducted on July 12 confirms that drowning is to blame for Greer’s death on July 10. A toxicology report shows that Greer tested positive for marijuana at the time of his death, and that he had a low level of alcohol in his system. Greer was 19.
The 2016 Country Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Sunday night was filled with touching tributes, once-in-a-lifetime musical performances and stirring speeches but no moment was more special than hearing Randy Travis sing. Since his 2013 stroke, Travis has been largely unable to speak or sing. During the induction ceremony he led the audience in verse of ‘Amazing Grace.’
Another round of performers for the 2016 CMA Awards has been revealed. Kelsea Ballerini, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw and Kacey Musgraves will all take the stage at the upcoming awards show. The nine new performers join Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Maren Morris, Keith Urban and Brad Paisley in the performance lineup for the 2016 CMA’s.
