Hillary Scott and the Scott Family took home the award for Best Contemporary Christian Album at the 2017 Grammy Awards on Sunday (Feb. 12) for their family gospel album, Love Remains.

The Lady Antebellum singer and her family returned to the stage just minutes after winning the Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance / Song for "Thy Will," the lead single from Love Remains. Scott was trying to pull herself together after crying through much of her prior acceptance speech, but quickly ceded the microphone to her father, Lang Scott, who spoke while Scott, mother Linda Davis and sister Rylee held each other and wept.

Hillary Scott Reveals "Thy Will" Inspired By Heartbreak

The album was inspired by difficult times for the family, including the death of Scott's grandfather and a miscarriage she suffered.

"We've been crying since this project started," Lang remarked, thanking those closest to the family who supported them through his dad's leukemia battle. "From day one, our hope was that this music would bring hope to people. Our prayer from day one and throughout was that it would permeate to people who would hear it that are in need, and that it would give them comfort and encourage them. So we are grateful as a family."

He also thanked Ricky Skaggs, who he said not only produced the record, "he pastored it for us."
