This winter has been brutal. In Maine, we've had an ice storm with many losing power for days, we've had about double the amount of average snowfall and we've had historic cold weather. Maine isn't alone, record cold is gripping the midwest, northeast, and even the deep south. The National Weather Service says that some parts of the country are seeing the coldest conditions in 20 years. Wind chill temperatures in Duluth, Minnesota are expected to 55 below today, minus 34 in Chicago and 24 below in St. Louis.

Temperatures in Atlanta and Nashville are predicted to lower today than in Anchorage, Alaska!
