If you think Hollywood has been remaking movies lately, get ready for more to come in the next 5 years. Hollywood’s ‘to do’ list has a lot of sequels on it.

Some of the sequels that will be in the works in the next 5 years are:

Wargames: Originally starred Mathew Broderick and Ally Sheedy, this movie first came out in 1983 and had 3 Oscar nominations.

Overboard: Starred Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel in a comedy about a carpenter that convinces a rich woman that she is his wife. The time around, Jennifer Lopez will star.

Jumanji: Came out in 1995 starring Robin Williams, Bonnie Hunt and a very young Kirsten Dunst. Since the death of Robin Williams the remake of this movie is somewhat up in the air. But it may still be a go and Kirsten Dunst may have a role.

Honey I Shrunk the Kids: The movie appeared in 1989 with Rick Moranis and Marcia Strassman. Rumor has it that Mike Myers may play Wayne Szalinski but there have been rumors about this sequel for years, so things are still up in the air.

Police Academy: Starred Steve Guttenburg and Lim Cattrall. The new cast hasn’t been announced but the producers say the movie will be completely re-cast with up and comers and comedians. No date as of yet.

The Birds: An Alfred Hitchcock directed movie from 1963 about a bird uprising that starred Suzanne Pleshette and Rod Taylor. The new version doesn’t have a release date yet but rumors have actress Naomi Watts as one of the stars.
