Chicken Dance History:

A Swiss accordion player Werner Thomas wrote 'Dez Ententanz' or the 'Duck Dance', in the 1950's. He would play the song at a restaurant in his home country and the movement of the people dancing to his song reminded him of ducks and chickens.

A music publisher heard the song and the tune spread throughout Europe and eventually to the United States.

How To Do The Chicken Dance:

It's pretty basic.
