'The Voice' is winding down, with the performance finale taking place Monday night (May 19). Country contestant Jake Worthington didn't hold back, performing Keith Whitley's 'Don't Close Your Eyes.'

He looked like the ultimate cowboy, wearing a black cowboy hat, button-down shirt and vest, looking spiffy and country, all at once.

Worthington showed off his acoustic guitar skills, strumming along as he sang. Interestingly, he opted to sit in the middle of the crowd, with his band on the stage behind him.

The crowd around Worthington was immersed in his performance, swaying back and forth, waving their arms, and giving a big ol' cheer at the end of his set. Even though the country singer is 18 years old, and the youngest contestant in the competition, he sang with confidence and grace that went well beyond his age. His coach, Blake Shelton, couldn't be more proud.

Shakira gave him props first, saying, “Your voice was just so perfect on that song,” while the 'Boys 'Round Here' singer not only praised his performance, but was also visibly moved.

The country hopeful also performed Bryan Adams' 'I Will Be Right Here Waiting For You,' which he had previously brought to 'The Voice,' making it the song furthest out of his comfort zone. “In six seasons of being a coach on this show I don’t think there’s ever been a more sincere narrative of a lyric than you,” Shelton told Worthington proudly. “That’s a trait only a true country artist has.”

Worthington also had the chance to take the stage with Shelton, singing Hank Williams Jr.'s 'A Country Boy Can Survive.'

Will Worthington be Season Six's winner? The champ will be revealed Tuesday at 8PM ET on NBC.
