Jason Aldean is hoping to win the Entertainer of the Year award at the 2012 CMAs in Nashville on Thursday (Nov. 1), but he tells Taste of Country Nights host Jeremy Robinson that his year doesn't depend on it. The singer was one of many who have joined the radio host in preparation for the ABC broadcast. Aldean says if he wins, he'll party like a rock star -- but it won't be anything that will put him back on TMZ.

"I've been in the news enough, I'm done," the singer says, laughing after Robinson jokes that Aldean should pull a prank at the CMAs. He added, "Between (the news of photos of him kissing Brittnay Kerr) and my beach thing, my beach rampage that I went off on beach patrol this last summer I think I'm gonna just be quiet from now on."

The good outweighs the bad for Aldean in 2012, and he says it's been his best year professionally. He's been rewarded with nominations in categories like Entertainer and Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2012 CMAs. "If I was a token nominee I would just assume not be nominated," he says. "I feel like this year we've made a legitimate leap."
