John Denver Should Be On The List!

I asked Randy if John Denver was on the list of top 40 Country Songs of All Time according to Taste of Country.

He said NO!

Well, he should be! Don’t you think? And this song should be the one!

How could “Thank God I’m A Country Boy” NOT be on the list??

We lost John Denver too early in a crash of a plane he was flying in 1997. I cried when I heard the news. When I heard about Randy Travis being in the hospital, it brought me back to hearing about John Denver.

I would DEFINITELY have voted for this song to be in the Top 40!! Do you agree?

Here is John and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band live at Farm Aid in 1985 with ‘Thank God I’m A Country Boy”. ENJOY!!
