Pop music fans are well-versed with Khalid, the 21-year-old Georgia native who has charmed with such smooth R&B-styled hits as "Location" and "Young Dumb & Broke." The singer has teamed with another Georgia notable, none other than country's own Kane Brown, for a remix of his single "Saturday Nights."

The video for the remix, which dropped this week (Feb. 19), was directed by Joe Weil and shot in Los Angeles last month, and provides all of that city's uniquely drifty, dreamy vibe as the two singers trade verses on a hilltop sunset-lit vista.

The remixed version stems from a track featured on Khalid's recently released EP Suncity, and is itself a dreamy and gentle-sounding composition, matching well with Khalid's previous contemplative singles. It lends itself well to a cross-genre platform with Brown's equally pleasant and surprisingly malleable vocals.

Brown is no stranger to working outside of the country genre. In fact, he puts non-country covers specifically in his shows to make sure everyone is feeling good: "I really do that for the people who don't listen to country music or maybe this is their first country concert," he tells Taste of Country in a recent interview. He's currently on tour right now, having hit the road right after Valentine's Day, pleasing fans of all musical stripes.
