Kansas City Royals Look to Replace Friends in Low Places
Since 2008 Garth Brooks’ ‘Friends in Low Places’ has been played during the 6th inning at Kansas City Royals baseball games. Now, fans at Kauffman Stadium will be asked to vote on a replacement song. The team and stadium decided it’s time for a change.
What they will do is ask people for suggestions on songs via social media. They’ll use 32 songs and use a bracket-style vote format. Garth’s song could be re-nominated and could win as the song used. The winner will be announced on June 7th.
