I graduated from Kennebec Valley Community College in 2013.  It took me 5 years to earn my degree while working full time…and I graduated without any student debt.

You can go full or part-time and I learned at an open house recently that you may be eligible for help paying for your classes even if you are a part-time student.

KVCC has their flagship campus in Fairfield and a campus in Hinckley. But while I was a student, they offered classes at the Buker Center in Augusta. AND IT IS BACK!  The locations is perfect for students in the Augusta-Gardiner-Winthrop areas.  For me, that was one of the biggest reasons I was able to work towards my degree.  They offer a TON of classes on-line but for me, I wanted my math and science classes in person.  I know I could NOT have done it on my own.  I also know that I would not have done it if I had to go to Fairfield from Augusta once or twice a week for all of that.

So if you are 18 or 88 and want to work on your education…check out Kennebec Valley Community College for SUPER AFFORDABLE way to get those foundational courses.  KVCC has partnerships with other colleges and universities to help have a plan so your work will transfer when you are ready.

So can you tell I am a fan of KVCC?  I am super excited about them being back in Augusta at the Buker Center….I am going to check out the offerings to see if I can earn a few extra credits…just for fun!
