Governor LePage says he's concerned about asylum seekers in Maine.  According to WCSH the governor said they lack paperwork and bring infectious diseases to the state.

The governor made his comments at a town hall meeting in Augusta last night.

LePage says state agencies have data proving illnesses are being brought by asylum seekers.

He says the diseases are popping up in specific places -- but the state can't find out exactly who the people are because of privacy laws.

In the WCSH report they say tried to contact the Department of Health and Human Services and the Maine CDC for that data Wednesday night but it was after hours.
