Lewiston High School Graduate Dies in Aubun Car Crash

Tara Chase, a 20-year-old New Gloucester woman was killed this morning (Dec. 2) when her car skidded into the path of an oncoming car on Riverside Dr., in Auburn shortly before 6 a.m.

Chase, a 2011 Lewiston High School graduate, died instantly at the scene. Auburn Police say speed and weather conditions may have been contributing factors in the crash

The driver of the other vehicle wa Leo Leclair, 60, of Auburn. He and his three passengers were taken to Central Maine Medical Center where they are listed in satisfactory condition.
