Little Jimmy Dickens has returned to the Grand Ole Opry. The 92-year-old was absent from most Opry performances in 2013, announcing in June that he needed three weeks to recover from radiation treatments to his vocal chords. Recently, he stood in the circle once again.

Dickens' return came last month, and he has since performed multiple times and resumed his role as unofficial star greeter backstage at the Opry. James Wesley and Dustin Lynch are just two artists who have stood next to the musical and comedic legend. Eric Paslay also got a shoutout from Dickens, who is active on Twitter:

After July 6, few updates about his condition post-treatment were available, and his Twitter page fell silent. Finally, on Aug. 30, he resurfaced:

Dickens was on hand to welcome Old Crow Medicine Show into the Grand Ole Opry on Sept. 17. His appearance during recent CMA Awards broadcasts has been a regular highlight. It'd be surprising if Brad Paisley and company didn't try to work him into the upcoming Nov. 6 show in Nashville.
