So, there's a wedding in your future and you are looking for a unique, and beautiful, place to have your ceremony? This amazing chapel is a short drive from the Augusta / Waterville area!
According to Only In Your State, you need to check out the Vesper Hill Children's Chapel in Rockport. Seating 50, the Chapel is surrounded by beautiful gardens, and has been host to weddings, baptisms, and memorials.
The area was originally home to the Tamarack Lodge, a hotel that burned down in 1954. The chapel was built by Helene Bok in 1960 and uses some of the stones from the hotel. According to a plaque on the site, the chapel was built "to the memory of all young people who have passed through this world, and gained God in doing so."
