The youngest golfer to ever qualify for the U.S. Women’s Open is 11 year old Lucy Li. By winning the sectional qualifier at Half Moon Bay in California, Li from Silicon Valley, made the Open.

She was born in Hong Kong but moved to California and began training in Florida at the age of 7. She trains at the Jim McLean Golf Schools in Florida four months out of the year. He says she is well versed in the sport even though her Father and Brother only dabble in the golf

She shot rounds of 74 and 68 on the par-72 at Half Moon Bay and will surpass 12 year old Lexi Thompson as the youngest to qualifiy for U.S. Women’s Open.

Even though Lucy’s Father and Brother aren’t much at golf, her Mother is an expert at Ping Pong.
