‘Made In Maine Expo’ Spotlight: Beast Feast Maine

This Saturday, B-98.5 and Townsquare Media invite you to shop local with the 'Made In Maine Expo' at the Colby College Field House in Waterville. The Expo will run from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and will feature dozens of Maine businesses.One of the tastier vendors will be Beast Fest Maine. They began their business in 2007 and are based in Bridgton. Two friends got the idea to put on an annual event called 'Beast Feast Maine' and focused on wild game to attract outdoor enthusiasts of all types.

The two friends, one a cater and one a registered Maine guide, got together to form Beast Feast Maine. They feature homemade BBQ sauces, rubs and spices, hot sauces and specialty sauces, extracts, and maple syrups.

Beast Feast Maine provides food and or resources to local food pantries and soup kitchens by using a part of the proceeds from the sale of their sauces and spices rubs.

Here's just a small sample of what they have to offer:

Apple Bourbon BBQ & Grilling Sauce. The tomato based sauce and unique blend of spices simmered together with just the right amount of apple and bourbon whiskey makes this sauce one of their favorites. It's great on beef, chicken and pork.

Chipotle BBQ & Grilling Sauce. It features chipotle peppers that will spice up your chicken, beef or pork dishes.

Hickory Smoke BBQ & Grilling sauce is perfect when using the gas grill, it adds a smoky flavor to your favorite cuts of beef, pork and chicken.

They feature several more BBQ sauces, hot sauces, spices and rubs and their website also has great recipe ideas!
