Maine Driver Gears Up For His First NASCAR Nationwide Race

Austin Theriault, 20, from Fort Kent, Maine is preparing to get behind the wheel for his first NASCAR Nationwide Series race. He's on the JR Motorsports team and has been practicing with 18-year-old Chase Elliott, son of NASCAR legend Bill Elliott.

Austin will be driving the Number 5 Chevy Camaro this Sunday afternoon at the Iowa Speedway. You can see the race starting at 2 p.m. on ESPN.

Austin will race two more times this season for JR Motorsports, on July 12 at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway and at the Kentucky Speedway on September 20.
