Maine Gas Prices Continue To Climb Higher

Just as the weather starts to warm up, the gas prices in Maine are heating up as well. According to the price-monitoring website, GasBuddy.com, the average for a gallon of gas in Maine is now at $2.21 per gallon. That's an increase of almost two cents a gallon from last week.

Nationally, the average is at $2.14 per gallon, an increase of just over two cents per gallon from last week.

You still can find gas for under $2 a gallon in Maine, a gas station is Scarborough reported selling a gallon of gasoline for $1.99.

Oklahoma has the lowest average gas price at $1.89 per gallon and thirteen states still have a average price of under $2 per gallon.
