Maine drivers are filling up for less this week, as gas prices in the Pine Tree State have dropped nearly six cents, to an average of $3.63 a gallon. That's a drop of almost 15 cents per gallon from a month ago and 33 cents lower a gallon than this same time last year.MaineGasPrices.com shows that Maine's average for a gallon of gas is $3.63 and is five cents above the national average of $3.58 a gallon. Their survey is based of more than 1,200 gas stations in Maine.

The lowest prices in Maine were found in Cape Elizabeth with a gallon of gas at $3.43, a gas station in Newport came in at $3.44 a gallon and a station in Monmouth had a gallon of gas at $3.49.

Nationally, Montana came in with the lowest prices for a gallon of gas at $3.29.
