Maine Gas Prices Down Over Five Cents a Gallon This Week

Maine gas prices along with gas prices nationwide are down this week. In Maine the average gas price is now at $3.03 a gallon, down 5.2 cents per gallon, according to GasBuddy.com. The national average is under $3 a gallon at $2.94 a gallon. I took a road trip from Augusta to Bingham and I only saw one gas station with gas over $3 and that was in Bingham. South Carolina has the lowest average gas price in the country at $2.65 a gallon. The lowest gas price in Maine is $2.77 a gallon at a gas station in Auburn. The national average is at it's lowest since December 4, 2010. GasBuddy senior petroleum analyst Patrick DeHaan says gas prices should be stablizing, but he expects prices to be stable through the holidays. How much are you paying for a gallon of gas?
