Maine Gas Prices Drop This Week

The average price for a gallon of gas dipped by a penny a gallon over the past week, to $3.46 a gallon. That's according to the price-monitoring website MaineGasPrices.com.Nationally the average for a gallon of gas also dropped by once cent to $3.26 a gallon.

The lowest gas price in Maine was reported in Scarborough at $3.32. Closer to home, a gas station in Turner was selling gas at $3.34 a gallon and stations in Monmouth, Lewiston, Auburn and Litchfield had gas for $3.36 a gallon.

New Hampshire has the lowest average gas prices in New England, with a gallon of gas at $3.31. Missouri had the countries lowest average gas prices, with a gallon coming in at $3.02.

The lowest gas price per gallon that I could find was at a gas station in Valley Park, Missouri, with a gallon of gas costing $2.69.
