Maine Gas Prices Higher This Week

According to the price-monitoring website GasBuddy.com, the average cost for a gallon of gas in Maine was up slightly this week for an average of $3.62 a gallon.I have noticed a very large range of prices within the city of Augusta. Where I live, one gas station is selling gas at $3.48 a gallon and another station, less than a mile away, is selling gas for $3.69 a gallon!

The national average is up to $3.52 a gallon.

The lowest reported gas price in Maine is $3.44 a gallon at a gas station in Scarborough.

The state of Montana has the lowest average in the country at $3.27 a gallon.

The lowest price for a gallon of gas that I could find nationally was found in Houston, Texas at $3.01 a gallon.

New Hampshire has New England's lowest average gas prices with a gallon of gas averaging $3.50 a gallon.
