Maine Gas Prices Keep Dropping

According to the price-monitoring website, GasBuddy.com, gas price in Maine were down just over a nickel a gallon this past week. The average statewide price for a gallon of gas in Maine is now down to $2.84.

The average nationally, dropped even more, 6.7 cents per gallon for an average of $2.69.

Gas prices in Maine are now 62 cents lower per gallon then they were at the same time last year.

Motorists in Texas and Oklahoma saw some gas stations selling gasoline at $1.99 a gallon.

GasBuddy senior petroleum analyst, Patrick DeHaan, expects gas prices to go even lower!

The lowest gas price reported in Maine was in Auburn at $2.55 a gallon.

Missouri has the lowest average gas prices in the country with a gallon of gas averaging $2.35.
