Maine Gas Prices Lower This Week

A little bit of good news for Maine motorists, the average gas price in the state were down by a little more than one cent this week, for a statewide average of $3.61 a gallon.The national average for a gallon of gas is $3.51.

The prices are from the Monday reports from gasbuddy.com.

South Carolina has the lowest average gas prices in the country with an average of $3.23 a gallon.

New Hampshire has the lowest average price in New England with a gallon of gas averaging $3.49.

Only nine states have higher average gas prices than Maine.
