For the sixth week in a row, gas prices in Maine, and across the country have gone up.

According to the price monitoring site Gas Buddy, the average price for a gallon of gas in Maine is now at $2.406, which is up just under 2 cents from last weeks average of $2.387. The national average is $2.374, which is up from last weeks national average of $2.34.

Once again, the lowest price found in Maine was at the Cumberland Farms store in Wells, which is selling gas at $2.16.

Locally, the lowest price for gas we could find is in Augusta at the Irving store at 25 Western Avenue, which is selling gas at $2.34 a gallon.
