Maine Golfers: Nike is Getting Out of the Golf Business

If you like to play golf at a local club like Natanis Golf Course, The Augusta Country Club or The Waterville Country Club and use Nike golf equipment, hang on to it. Nike is getting out of the golf business.

Nike said it would quit making golf clubs, bags and balls, instead concentrating on apparel. That means pro golfers like Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods and Michelle Wie will have to look elsewhere for new clubs and balls next season.

If you play at one of the local clubs in Maine and use Nike you will have to look for something new once all of you balls end up in the water. J
