Maine.Gov Website Briefly Down Yesterday
If you tried to get on to the maine.gov website yesterday, and had no luck, there was a problem. There was an external cyberattack.
The site was back online around noon and it is believed there wasn’t a security breach and no personal information was compromised.
Alex Willette, spokesman for the Department of Administration and Financial Serices says such attacks on government websites are common. An investigation into the incident is underway.
