With an early onset of very cold and snowy weather, heating oil prices are rising steadily in Maine. A weekly survey has found that average cash price for home heating oil has gone up two cents in Maine to $3.66 per gallon.The Governor's Energy Office says that the average price for home heating oil has increased 13 cents in the past month.

The average for kerosene is also up two cents per gallon this week to $4.06 and propane went up seven cents per gallon to $2.92.

Officials do add that there is an adequate supply of heating oil to meet the demand.
