If you have purchased Sierra Nevada beer recently, you should not drink it. That's because the company is in the midst of a massive recall because of an issue where some bottles could have a flaw that causes small pieces of glass to break off and fall into the bottle.

In a statement from the company, Mike Bennett, Sierra Nevada's Chief Supply Chain Officer said that while the risk is very small, just roughly 1 in every 10,000 bottles, the company is taking no risks.

“Sierra Nevada has set the standard for quality in the craft brewing industry since 1980 and we have decided to take this precaution to ensure the safety of our consumers. To date, we have not received any consumer reports of injuries resultng from the potentally affected bottles and we are working with our supplier to determine the root cause of the issue.”

According to the release from the company, the recall includes the following beers with a code of "M", indicating the beer was brewed at the company's Mills River, North Carolina plant. Beers with a code of "C" are not included in the recall, and should be considered safe to drink.
