The University of Maine men’s basketball team has ‘never’ made it to the NCAA basketball tournament. The tourney was introduced in March of 1939. The Black Bears program has existed since 1904.
Granted there are other teams that haven’t made it to the tourney but there are teams that have made it at least once. Maine’s problem is trying to recruit top notch talent (not to say Maine players aren’t talented, just not the top prospects in the country).
Maybe one day the Black Bears will get a bid to play in the NCAA Tournament, but, obviously it’s not this year. Here's were you can play the $1 Million Dollar Bracket.
