Maine ‘Milk Drive’ Aims To Get Fresh Milk To Maine Food Pantries
It’s a program called the ‘Great American Milk Drive‘ a program that is intending to get more fresh milk to food pantries. That program has reached the state of Maine, as Oakhurst Dairy and the Good Shepherd Food Bank announced on Tuesday.
As part of the Great American Milk Drive, Oakhurst Dairy is donating three half-gallons of milk for every run scored by the Portland Sea Dogs. Oakhurst Dairy also kicked off the program on Tuesday by donating 140 half-gallons of milk, the Good Shepherd Food Bank, will distribute the milk to its network of food pantries and food programs in Maine.
