Maine Near The Top of a Poll of States Residents Least Want To Leave
In a Gallup Poll that asked residents from all 50 U.S. states this question: ‘Regardless of whether you will move, if you had the opportunity, would you like to move to another state, or would you rather remain in your current state?’
Maine, Montana and Hawaii residents topped the list of where residents wanted to stay put. Each of the three states had 23% of those polled saying yes to that question. New Hampshire residents were right behind at 24%.
On the other end of the results, 50% polled in Illinois and 49% in Connecticut, said yes to the poll question.
For a look at the complete findings of that Gallup Poll click here. I find it pretty fascinating. How would you have answered the poll question?
