According to U.S. News & World Report, Maine ranks 18^th on the list of best states in the country.

The Best States list used thousands of data points based on how citizens are performing including health care, education, economic factors, safety and more. Maine ranks second for health care quality, but 38^th for public health. Maine fared best in crime and opportunity sections.
