Maine State Parks Raffling Free Camping For First-Time Campers

Spring is here and Mainers are gearing up for camping season! The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry's Division of Parks and Public Lands is offering its First Time Campers raffle program open to Maine residents who want to discover camping.Forty-four lucky winners will win a free weekend of camping this summer at one of eleven Maine state park campgrounds. This contest is only for Maine residents who have never before gone camping. Each winner will get the free use of camping equipment and receive gifts from sponsors and be supported by park staff throughout their camping weekend.

One lucky winner will win the grand prize of a $1,000 gift certificate from L.L.Bean!

Raffle applications are now available online and at Maine state parks through May 31st. The random winners will be drawn on June 4th and the winners can choose from weekend in July and August.
