Bryant Pond in western Maine is home to the world’s largest telephone. This village of less than 1,000 people was looking for a way to remember the old days of the crack phone, which they still had until 1983, and they came up with 14 foot tall ‘candlestick phone.’

The iron sculpture was crafted by Gill Whitman from Bryant Pond. The village is about 40 miles west of the capital of Augusta, and 50 miles north of Portland. On atlasobscura.com they say the sculpture in the center of Remembrance Park.
