Saturday (6/21) is the first day of summer! In Grey, farmers and food vendors will help open the Maine Wildlife Park to the public for free, from 4pm to 8pm, to celebrate the summer season. During the Summer Solstice Farmers Market event people will also be welcome to walk the park grounds and gardens during the event.

There will also be a memorial service and dedication of a sugar maple tree in honor of former park Superintendent David Wilbur. The ceremony is scheduled for 2 p.m. in front of the farmhouse that Wilbur and his family lived in for 35 years. The farmhouse is now a park office building.

There is always something fun on the calendar for the Maine Wildlife Park, check out all the events for the summer and fall.  Even North Wood Law Day in September!!

How do you get there? The Maine Wildlife Park is located at 56 Game Farm Road in Gray. Getting is free is always nice, but the park is great day any day because it normally costs only $7 for adults, kids 4 to 12 are $5 and little kids are free.
