A woman in Bangor was driving along in her van just after midnight this past Wednesday morning and her van hit a cat. She thought that the cat was seriously injured or dead, she placed the cat in her van and proceeded to try to get help for the cat. While she was driving the cat became alert and she realized it was a bobcat! She got out of her van and the bobcat hid under the van. Police had to use a catch pole to secure the animal. A game warden arrived and determined that the bobcat’s injures were so severe that it had to be euthanized.
