Maine’s Boetsch Prepares For UFC 205 Battle [VIDEO]

Maine native Tim Boetsch will step back in the octagon for the first time since this past July as he faces Rafael Natal on the UFC 205 card from New York City.

Boetsch said that he took the fight after UFC President Dana White approached him to get in the cage again.  The Lincolnville native was unaware that he was on the historic pay-per-view card until he looked at the date he was asked to fight.

The middleweight fighter has said that he is staying in this weight class for the duration of his career and is currently 19-10 in his career.  Boetsch won by a second round TKO over Josh Samman back on July 13^th in North Dakota.

Boetsch has been training with another Maine fighter in Marcus Davis in North Carolina in preparation of the fight.

Natal is 21-7-1 for his career and suffered a loss to Robert Whittaker last April after posting a four fight win streak.

The fight that was originally scheduled for the UFC Fight Pass has been moved to Fox Sports 1 after the Tim Kennedy and Rashad Evans fight was changed to UFC 206.  The main event will feature Conor McGregor going for the lightweight belt against current champion Eddie Alvarez.
