Maine roads are below average, being given a grade of C-. In a new report, Maine's Civil Engineers say they remain below average. The report is done by the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the overall grade for the nation, as a whole, was a D.

There is some good news. Bridges went up slightly thanks to recent initiatives. The report found that 38% of the state's major roads have fair to unacceptable conditions and were given a D. Officials are hoping the report will help to show lawmakers that there needs to be more funding for our roads and bridges.
