A New world record was set for holding breath under water at 22 minutes. Seems impossible for a human to hold their breath that long, but Stig Severinson did and beat his previous record of 20 minutes, 10 seconds.

His record at 20 minutes, 10 seconds was done in a tank full of sharks, this time he was in a dive training pool which was shark free. The temperature in the pool was cold, 30 degrees, and Stig has learned how to drop his heart rate below 30 beats per minute, which slows the rate the lungs burn oxygen.

He also uses what he terms 'meditation underwater', focusing on images of dolphins and sharks. Whatever he does, he has set the world record and is dubbed as ‘The Man Who Doesn’t Breath’.
