Oh Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,' never stop churning out snipped after snippet of new footage from your forthcoming September 24 premiere. The latest look into ABC's 'Avengers' spinoff TV series gives us our longest look yet at Agent Coulson's mysterious return from the darkness, as well as an ominous warning from Maria Hill herself. Plus, there's a new scoop on the science of the series!

Though not fully cut from the premiere, the first brief clip from Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' shows an early interaction between Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), who reminds viewers that "the Battle of New York was the end of the world. This is the new world." And who should step out of a dark corner to reintroduce himself to the land of the living, but Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) himself!

And while we can't say for sure just yet what brings Coulson back to the land of the living, be it science or magic, executive producer Jed Whedon recently told the Huffington Post that the exploration of either would take a large role in the series, equating the debate to 'The X-Files." Says Whedon, "We will deal with two scientists facing things like a hammer that only one guy can pick up and trying to piece that together in their minds and get a grip on a world that doesn't make sense."

While we await the September 24 premiere, we know that Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ features a cast that includes Ming-Na as veteran agent Melinda May, Chloe Bennet as hacker Skye, and Elizabeth Henstridge and Iain De Caestecker as science team Gemma Simmons and Leo Fitz. ‘Ghost Whisperer’ vet David Conrad and ‘Luck‘ star Ian Hart have been added for recurring parts, though details remain light on their scientist roles.

Samuel L. Jackson previously stated that he expected to be involved with the show in some small capacity. Both Tom Hiddleston and Sam Rockwell are game to reprise their Marvel Cinematic Universe roles of Loki and Justin Hammer respectively, something we’ve analyzed the likelihood of in depth.

The day grows closer and closer, so check out the first Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' clip above and tell us what you want to see from the upcoming premiere!
