Mesh Patch Sewn to Tongue Helps Lose Weight but Painful
Some people will go to extremes to lose weight but this new procedure seems way over the top. Dr. Nicholas Chugay has developed a mesh that is sewn to the tongue that makes chewing solid food difficult and painful making the dieter go on a liquid diet.
The tongue is made numb and mesh is sewn on top of the tongue and is kept in place for three weeks then removed. The doctor claims patients can lose 25 pounds in three weeks before the mesh is removed. After the mesh patch has been off the tongue for a few weeks it can be put back on for another three. One patient said it helped her shed pounds and plans on having another mess patch sewn on her tongue in the near future.
