Minot’s Will Kannegieser Scores Another Junior Golf Title

Will Kannegieser from Minot shot a 2-over par 74 today to beat Bangor's Drew Powell by two strokes for the Maine Junior Amateur Golf Championship. Powell shot a a 5-over 77.

Kannegieser started the second and final round one shot behind Powell. The lead changed hands on the 4th hole. Powell took a 9 on the par-5 while Kannegieser bogeyed the hole. Kannegieser also finished with a birdie on three of the final five holes. He finished with a two round score of 144. Powell was 146.

It is the second straight Maine Junior title for Kannegieser.
