M&M's have been an iconic candy in America since 1941, in fact I bet most of us have our favorite color of M&M. However one mom, Renee Shutters, has started a petition to have the manufacture adjust the way the candy gets it's coloring.Shutters started a petition, in which over 140,000 have signed at change.org, because her son Trenton used to suffer regular 'meltdowns', but then his behavior improved remarkably when she took artificial dyes out of his diet, including M&M's.

M&M's in the United States are made with artificial food colorings, derived from petroleum. However, M&M's made in England are colored mostly with plant based coloring.

What do you think? Should M&M's change the way they color their candies?
