Getting ready to watch Monday Night Football tonight, September 21st, 2015, this is the 46th year of Monday Night Football. It all started in 1970 when the Cleveland Browns beat Joe Namath and the New York Jets 31-21.

In the booth calling the game was Keith Jackson, Don Meredith and Howard Cosell. Since its beginning it has become the longest running sports series in television history. Tonight, is the 46th anniversary of MNF and the New York Jets will play, this time taking on the Indianapolis Colts, who in 1970 where known as the ‘Baltimore Colts’.

Monday Night Football has seen many changes over the years, especially in the announcer’s booth and while it started and played for years on ABC, it’s now on ESPN and has been for 10 years. Despite the changes, MNF is still as popular as ever.
