NASA Announcement: Water Found on Mars
NASA made a big announcement yesterday about the planet Mars, they found water on the surface making it possible for life on the Red Planet.
They believe the water appears in the summer and is thought to come up from a shallow flow beneath the surface, its salty water. Where the flow originates is still a mystery. The water appears to exist in the form of “thin layers of wet soil", rather than pools of standing water.
The discovery of liquid water means Mars is “not the dry, arid planet that was thought of in the past”, it “suggests that it would be possible for there to be life today on Mars”.
