This Friday and Saturday, it’s time for the New England Forest Rally, which is headquartered at Sunday River for the 22nd year. The New England Forest Rally is a two-day motor sports rally in Maine and New Hampshire sanctioned by Rally America. The event is run on logging roads where it is dusty and dry, making racing difficult at best.

The race starts at Sunday River this Friday, July 26 at the South Ridge base area with the Day 1 stage stating at 11:30 a.m. Day 2 on Saturday, July 27 getting underway at 8:30 a.m.

There are spectator stages at Sunday River with additional areas for people to watch at the Mexico Recreation Area in Mexico and locations around Errol, New Hampshire. The is a free event to the public. As far as racing goes, this event usually draws the second largest crowd next to the Oxford 250.
